How Does the Community Partner Program Work?


The Neighbourhood Energy Community Partner Program allows our customers the opportunity to give something back to their community. Our customers nominate a charity or community group from our list of Partners. The 10% discount they receive when they pay their bill on time is automatically collected and donated to the partner of choice.

Depending on our customer’s electricity spend, this could be around $100 a customer per year. If just 100 Neighbourhood Energy customers nominated a particular charity or community group as their chosen partner, their annual fundraising income could be supplemented by up to $10,000. The Community Partner Program is a unique fundraising opportunity with no limit on the revenue that the partner can receive. Quite simply, the more Neighbourhood Energy customers that nominate a partner, the greater the fundraising income will be.

Neighbourhood Energy is a registered fundraiser so customers can claim donations to their chosen charity or community group as a tax deduction if that charity or group has Deductible Gift Recipient status.
